When mainland media disclosed that BOE held an annual general meeting of shareholders at its headquarters in Beijing, Wang Dongsheng made the above statement to the on-site shareholders. As BOE actively expands its production capacity, it has become a global panel leader. Currently BOE's panel shipments in four major areas, including smart phones, tablet PCs, notebook computers, and LCD monitors, rank first in the world, and in the first quarter of 2018. BOE's LCD panel shipments reached 12.5 million units, surpassing LG Display and Samsung Display, making it the largest in the world for the first time.
