How To Install LED Acrylic Display And Precautions

Jun 12, 2025

1. Installation steps
1. Preparation
Tool list: screwdriver, electric drill (if drilling is required), level, double-sided tape/traceless tape, power cord, cable tie (to organize the lines).

Check accessories: confirm that the acrylic board, LED light strip, bracket, power adapter, screws and other accessories are complete.

2. Assemble the acrylic board
If the display stand is multi-layer or spliced, connect the acrylic board with the matching card slot or screws according to the instructions. Be careful to handle it with care to avoid scratching the surface.

Tear off the acrylic protective film (tear it last to prevent scratches).

3. Fix the LED light strip
Attach the LED light strip to the back of the acrylic board or the edge groove (usually there is a preset light groove) to ensure that the light strip is evenly distributed and avoid excessive bending.

If the light strip is too long, it can be cut according to the mark (note that the cutting position must comply with the light strip design).

4. Install the power supply and line
Connect the light strip and the power adapter to test whether the light is normal.

Hide the wires with cable ties or cable ducts to keep them beautiful.

5. Fix the display stand
Wall installation:

Mark the drilling position with a level, insert the expansion screws after drilling, and then fix the display stand bracket.

For traceless installation, use strong double-sided tape (the load-bearing capacity must match the weight of the display stand).

Desktop placement:

Place it directly on a stable table to ensure a stable center of gravity (if anti-slip is required, add a transparent anti-slip pad).

6. Final debugging
Power on to test the lighting effect, and adjust the position or brightness of the light strip (if there is a remote control or dimming function).

Clean fingerprints or dust on the acrylic surface.

2. Precautions

Safety first

Make sure the power adapter voltage matches the LED light strip to avoid short circuit or overheating.

Do not expose the wires in a humid environment or a place where it is easy to trip.

Protect the acrylic material

Avoid scratching with sharp objects, and use a soft cloth and a neutral detergent (such as alcohol) when cleaning.

Keep away from high temperature sources (such as long-term direct exposure to spotlights) to prevent deformation or cracking.

Load-bearing and stability

Confirm the load-bearing capacity of the installation wall or bracket, especially for multi-layer or large display racks.

If valuable items are displayed, it is recommended to add reinforcement measures (such as metal brackets).

Lighting design

The color temperature of the LED light strip (such as cold white/warm white) needs to be coordinated with the style of the displayed items.

Avoid direct light exposure to the human eye, and create a soft effect through diffuse reflection of acrylic sheets.

Maintenance and care

Regularly check whether the circuit and light strip are aging and replace them in time.

When the acrylic sheet turns yellow, it can be polished, and it needs to be replaced if it is serious.

3. Common problem solving
The light strip is not lit: check whether the power connection, the circuit is loose, or the light strip is cut incorrectly.

Acrylic sheet shakes: reinforce the bracket or use a more secure fixing method (such as screws instead of glue).

Uneven lighting: adjust the density of the light strip or replace a higher brightness LED.

With the above steps and precautions, you can install the LED acrylic display safely and beautifully. If there is a complex structure (such as special shape or oversized), it is recommended to contact a professional for installation.
