GIS-KY Industry Monthly Revenue Increased By 11.88% In April

GIS-KY Industry announced that it had consolidated revenues of NT$7,937 million since April 2018, an increase of 11.88% from the previous month and an increase of 13.17% from the same period of last year. The cumulative revenue from January to April of 2018 was NT$29.862 billion, an increase of 18.42% from the same period of last year.
The industry's first-quarter revenue was approximately 21.932 billion yuan, down 52.55% from the previous quarter and 20.44% annually. Because of the change in product mix and decline in capacity utilization, the gross profit margin fell 2.1 percentage points to 7.65%, and operating profit was about 655 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 43.55%. However, there are about 500 million yuan in extra-income earning, including interest income of more than 200 million yuan, exchange gains of more than 200 million yuan, net profit before tax of approximately 708 million yuan, annual decrease of 40.71%, net profit after tax of approximately 602 million yuan, annual decrease 35.31%, earnings per share of 1.78 yuan.
The legal person estimates that the number of iPhone 7/iPhone 8 suppliers will increase in the first half of the year, and the second quarter revenue performance is expected to remain stable, roughly the same as the first quarter.
Qihong’s revenue performance in April was better than expected. It was announced yesterday that combined revenues were 6.643 billion yuan, up 9.3% from the previous month and 2.3% from the same period last year. However, Qi Hongfa said that the outlook for the second quarter of the meeting was quite conservative. Due to the shift in new and old products from major customers, inventory adjustments will continue, and shipments will decline. The second quarter will be the trough this year. Under the five extremes and six extremes, it is estimated that the revenue will be reduced by 20% compared with the previous quarter. Due to the decline in capacity utilization, the industry will suffer losses.
