What Is A Diffusion Sheet And What Is Its Specific Function?

The diffuser sheet has the function of diffusing light, that is, the light will be scattered on its surface, and the light will be diffused softly and evenly; the basic structure of most diffuser films is to coat optical diffuser particles on both sides of a transparent substrate such as PET.
According to the classification of LCD displays, there are the following two categories: side projection type and direct type, in which the diffusion material used for side projection is called a diffusion film (or diffuser); in the direct type backlight source, two types of diffusion materials are applied. One is a diffuser film and the other is a diffuser plate.
The important indicators of the diffuser film are total light transmittance and haze.
At present, it mainly refers to the backlight light source part used in LCD modules. In the backlight structure, it mainly plays the role of correcting the diffusion angle, which increases the light radiation area, but reduces the light intensity per unit area, that is, reduces the brightness.
After the light source is diffused by the diffusing material, it can become a secondary light source with a larger area, better uniformity and stable chromaticity.
