LCD Surface Defect Analysis And Inspection Applications
Jun 11, 2022
Today's electronic products, such as computers and TV monitors, often use LCD screens as display devices.
The lcd LCD has also become the mainstream display device nowadays. However, during the production process, displays often suffer from a number of process and quality issues due to environmental influences, resulting in product appearance defects and flaws. Currently, in order to distinguish between specific defects and flaws, traditional companies are manually inspected, as manual inspection is often a subjective judgement of defects and once the inspection time is too long, fatigue, mis-inspection and missed inspection will occur, resulting in reduced work efficiency.

Firstly, the production process of backlight modules is relatively high and can generally reach more than 20%.
Secondly, many manufacturers still use manual inspection as machine vision inspection is not yet widespread. manual inspection is costly and requires concurrent training.
Thirdly, manual inspection is very damaging to the eyes, leading to high staff mobility and recruitment difficulties; fourthly, the stability of manual inspection is relatively low due to subjective factors, and some of the defective rates lead to high mood swings and a high level of dissatisfaction.
With the development of science and technology, machine vision inspection technology has been more and more widely used. Machine vision inspection is to use the image as a means or carrier of inspection target and signal transmission to extract useful information from the image.
