May 29, 2018

Market analysis agency Greenlight Insights recently released a report saying that global VR industry revenue is expected to reach 48.2 billion U.S. dollars by 2020. The growth of all-in-one machines from major OEMs is a positive factor, with higher quality consumer content and corporate content.

Over time, as immersive technology can be improved through various channels, the problems of consumer popularity will be solved slowly. In the next five years, it is expected that the headline will become the driving force for global revenue growth. Among them, in the large OEM manufacturers to market their equipment, the all-in-one market will record a growth of 286% by 2019.

HTC, Lenovo, Oculus, Pico and other OEMs will provide an all-in-one machine for the US market in 2018.

According to Greenlight Insights, sales of all-in-one cameras are expected to reach 13.8 million units by 2022. With the continued promotion of major OEMs, the market share of the all-in-one will further increase. The convenience of all-in-one devices is a driving factor in consumer purchasing decisions and can promote the popularity of consumers. Greenlight Insights pointed out that all-in-one machines will become the target area for immersive content development in the near future.

Clifton Dawson, executive director of Greenlight Insights, said: “Headline sales faced adoption challenges in 2017, but as more integrated devices became available, we began to see trends shift. The convenience and immersion that the machine market brings to the industry will establish the basis for high-quality wireless content, which is a key driver for achieving widespread adoption."
