Four Major Features Of LCD Monitors

An LCD display is a display that uses liquid crystal as a material. Liquid crystals are organic compounds between solid and liquid. It will turn into a transparent liquid when heated, and will become a crystalline, turbid solid after cooling. Under the action of an electric field, the liquid crystal molecules will change in alignment, thereby affecting the change of light passing through them. The change of the light can be expressed as a change of light and dark through the action of the polarizer. In this way, people control the electric field to finally control the light and dark changes of the light, so as to achieve the purpose of displaying images.

Compared with traditional CRTs, LCD displays are not only small in size, thin in thickness, light in weight, low in energy consumption, low in operating voltage (1.5 to 6V) and non-radiative, flicker-free and can be directly matched with CMOS integrated circuits.

Compared with the more cumbersome CRT display, the liquid crystal display requires only one third of the space of the former.

(2) Power saving, no high temperature

It is a low-power product that can be completely non-heated (mainly power and heat are present in the backlight tube or LED), while CRT monitors inevitably generate high temperatures due to imaging technology.

(3) Low radiation, good health

LCD monitors radiate much less than CRT monitors (just low, not completely without radiation, and electronic products have more or less radiation), which is a boon for those who work in front of computers all day long.

(4) The picture is soft and does not hurt the eyes

Unlike CRT technology, the LCD screen does not flicker, which can reduce the damage of the monitor to the eyes, and the eyes are not easy to fatigue.
