How to properly assemble LCD modules for efficiency?
Jun 11, 2022
The main tools used for the assembly of the LCD modules are hammers and spanners for tightening the frame feet. The sequence of assembly operations is to place all tools and raw materials on the workbench in an orderly manner. Next, the housing is correctly placed on the workbench according to the instructions on the process card. If assembly tools are available, place them on the tools as required, taking care of the correct orientation of the housing. Then, remove the protective film from the LCD screen, wipe the electrodes with dust-free paper, confirm the orientation and place the case correctly according to the process card instructions. Remove the circuit board. If you are adding a backlight, fix the backlight to the PCB first. Align the board with the rack position according to the process card instructions, install the housing, depress the zebra stripes and secure the housing and board with the special assembly tool. Take care to screw in the frame feet at an angle of 45°, do not bite the board to break the wires and make the frame parallel to the PCB. z Afterwards, remove the assembled finished product from the workbench, apply the protective film and place it inside the turntable. Take care to make the screen relative to the screen and the board relative to the board to avoid scratching. After the product is assembled, hand it over to the inspector for inspection, and reassemble it if it does not pass.

The purpose of LCD module assembly is to make the screen correspond to each electrode of the circuit board one by one, so as to complete the coordination of electrical performance. However, as the screen and the circuit board are not in direct contact and conductive tape is used as a medium, the screen and the circuit board cannot visually correspond and therefore their corresponding electrodes cannot correspond to each other, resulting in misalignment. The corresponding electrode connections between the screen and the board are called alignment during assembly. In assembly, the corresponding connection between screen and board is achieved primarily by alignment between screen and board and alignment between housing and board. As an intermediate medium and correspondence standard between screen and housing, the housing plays an important role in the alignment. The main alignment methods are side alignment, pinhole alignment and intermediate alignment.
