What is the diffuser film?

DIFFUSER PLATE

The diffuser is one of the components of the backlight module. The diffuser (Diffuser) is also called a diffuser. The main function is to provide a uniform surface light source for the display. The substrate needs to select a material with high light transmittance such as PET/PC/PMMA. Generally, the conventional diffusion film mainly incorporates a chemical particle as a scattering particle in the diffusion film substrate, and the existing diffusion plate has fine particles dispersed between the tree finger layers, so that the light is passed through the diffusion layer. It will continue to pass through two media with different refractive indices, and at the same time, many phenomena of refraction, reflection and scattering will occur in the pupil, thus causing the effect of optical diffusion.

The structure of the diffusion sheet is generally an antistatic coating layer, a PET substrate, and a diffusion layer from bottom to top.

The material of the backlight module is composed of a reflection sheet, a light guide plate, a lower diffusion sheet, a prism sheet and an upper diffusion sheet from bottom to top. The working principle of the diffuser is to atomize the light source by the refraction and reflection of the diffusing substance, and concentrate the light from the small angle to the front side to improve the frontal brightness. The lower diffusion sheet mainly concentrates the light emitted from the light guide plate and uniformly projects it onto the prism sheet, and the main function of the upper diffusion sheet is to atomize the light emitted from the prism sheet and uniformly transmit the light. At the same time, the expansion can also play a role in protecting the prism sheet.
