1. Types of diffuser plates:
According to the classification of optical principles, the diffuser is only divided into two types, one is to increase the beam angle and the other is to maintain the original angle.
According to the material classification, glass, polystyrene (PS), polycarbonate (PC), polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polyvinyl chloride (PVC), polyethylene terephthalate ( PET), acrylic (PMMA), acrylic (MMA)...etc. light-transmitting polymeric materials or synthetic materials can be made into diffusing materials for different purposes.
The types of diffuser panels can be divided into gas diffuser panels, sound diffuser panels, liquid diffuser panels, light diffuser panels, taste diffuser panels, and light diffuser panels.
Air diffuser --> Generally used to reduce the sound caused by airflow, such as: car muffler.
Sound diffuser --> Generally used to eliminate echoes caused by hard objects, such as walls or ceilings in concert halls.
Liquid diffusion plate --> It is generally used to change the liquid into mist or smaller molecules to distribute them evenly, for example: water curtains for greenhouses.
Odor diffuser --> Generally used to eliminate or disperse odor to reduce it, for example: the filter canister of a gas mask or the odor elimination canister of a water filter.
Light diffuser --> Generally used to prevent glare and make the vision a comfortable environment, for example: diffuser in front of camera flash.
Second, the application field of diffuser plate:
Light diffuser is widely used in liquid crystal display, LED lighting and imaging display systems. Its main function is to fully diffuse the incident light and achieve a softer and uniform illumination effect.
A. Diffuser plate is used in liquid crystal display
Applied to the direct-type backlight system used in LCD TV, the diffuser plate has good properties such as heat resistance, dimensional stability, mechanical strength, flame resistance, etc., and has high light transmittance, excellent shading and durability. Its light diffusion effect reaches the best state, and it is most suitable for direct-type backlight units.
