LCD panels are now widely used in electronic products with growth potential such as monitors, notebook computers, digital cameras, and projectors. Therefore, the demand for backlight modules and related components continues to grow. Under the stimulus of lower panel prices, The largest demand for large-size panels such as notebook computers and LCD monitors is the main source of driving force for the growth of demand for backlight modules. With the active expansion of domestic LCD panel manufacturers, the domestic domestic demand market continues to expand. As the backlight modules produced by domestic manufacturers have reached the manufacturing level of major international manufacturers, and the advantages in mass production scale and local supply, domestic backlight The module self-sufficiency rate will be further improved.
The main components are L ightsource, lightguideplate, housing, reflector, diffuser, brightness enhancement film (BEF, prism film), black and white glue (Curtain Tape), etc. . As the backlight requirement is getting thinner and thinner, some parts need to be added with a metal frame (METAL FRAME).
LCD panels are mainly composed of color filters, backlight modules, driver ICs, compensation films and polarizers, glass substrates, ITO films, alignment films, control circuits and other components. Since LCD panels do not have light-emitting characteristics, they must rely on Backlight module to achieve the display function.
Black and white glue
The black and white double-sided adhesive is mainly used in the backlight to fix and shading (shielding the edge light and the light of the lamp position). It is also called shading film, black and white film, or black and white adhesive for short.
Because the backlight source used by TFT-LCD has high shading requirements, most of the black and white glue is applied to the backlight source of TFT-LCD.
In addition to black and white glue, there is also black vinyl (black on both sides), the main function is still fixed; shading black silver glue (black on one side, silver on one side), in addition to shading, the silver side has a reflective effect. Relatively speaking, black and white glue is the mainstream product in the market.
The viscosity of the black surface and the white surface of the black and white glue is larger. The white surface needs to be larger, because the white surface is connected to the rubber frame, and the black surface is connected to the glass. Compared with the adhesion of the glass to the glue, the rubber frame is worse, so the white surface is needed. Greater viscosity to ensure the stability of the entire module.
