The diffuser plate achieves uniform diffusion of light by making a diffusion layer on a substrate such as PC/PMMA/PS. When light enters this diffusion layer, it encounters a diffusion particle medium with a different refractive index from the substrate. In this process, multi-angle and multi-directional refraction, reflection and scattering phenomena will occur.

These complex optical effects can effectively break up and disperse the incident light, making the light more evenly distributed. This provides a softer and more uniform surface light source for applications such as display lighting.

Specifically, the functions of the diffuser include:

Eliminate bright spots and hot spots of the light source: The diffuser layer can effectively disperse the light and reduce the local highlight area.
Improve the uniformity of light: Through multi-angle refraction and scattering, the light can be more evenly distributed over the entire surface.
Improve visual comfort: Softer and more uniform lighting can reduce glare and reduce visual fatigue.
Applicable to various display lighting applications: Diffusers are widely used in optical products such as LED lamps, LCD backlights, and projectors.

1.Uniform light distribution
The light emitted by the light source (such as LED lamp beads) is usually concentrated. In the case of a diffuser, the light passes through the special structure inside the diffuser (such as microstructure or added scattered light particles), so that the light is scattered in all directions, making the light output more uniform. For example, in a flat panel lamp, the diffuser can ensure that the entire lamp surface emits light evenly, without the situation where the middle is bright and the edge is dark.
2.Reduce glare
Glare can make the human eye feel uncomfortable. The diffuser disrupts the propagation direction of the light, disperses the originally concentrated and high-brightness light, and makes the light intensity seen by the observer more uniform and soft, thereby effectively reducing glare. For example, using a diffuser on some spotlights can reduce the glare while ensuring sufficient lighting.
3.Improve the concealment of the light source
The shape or arrangement of the light source of some lamps may not be beautiful, and the diffuser can block the light source. It allows people to see the soft light after diffusion, rather than individual light sources, thereby enhancing the overall appearance of the lamp. For example, in some chandeliers or wall lamps with decorative requirements, the diffuser can hide the light source behind and only emit soft light.

Material Selection:

The polymer material is melted and extruded through a die to form a continuous sheet or film.
