Product structure
LED lamp beads: They are the core light-emitting components of the backlight module. Their quality and performance directly affect the brightness, color and life of the backlight module. PCB board: It is used to fix and connect LED lamp beads, and provide power and control signals for LED lamp beads. The design and quality of the PCB board will affect the heat dissipation performance and stability of the backlight module.

FAQ

1. Can a 32-inch direct-type backlight module replace an edge-entry backlight module? ​
Direct replacement is generally not recommended. The structural design, lamp bead position, and optical principle of the two modules are quite different. Replacement requires matching the panel size, drive circuit, shell structure, etc. of the TV. Forced replacement may cause display abnormalities (such as uneven brightness, color deviation), or even damage other parts of the TV. It is recommended to choose a backlight module type that matches the original model when repairing. ​


2. Will the brightness of the direct-type backlight module decay after long-term use? ​
There will be slight decay, but the decay rate is slow. The service life of high-quality LED lamp beads can usually reach more than 50,000 hours, and the brightness decay is not obvious within 3-5 years of normal use (the decay rate is generally less than 20%). If there is a sudden drop in brightness or a local dark area, it may be due to damage to the lamp bead, failure of the drive circuit, or aging of the optical film, which requires inspection and repair. ​


3. Is the power consumption of a 32-inch direct-type backlight module much higher than that of an edge-entry type? ​
Not necessarily. The number of 32-inch direct-type lamp beads is relatively large (usually 30-60), and the basic power consumption is slightly higher than that of the side-entry type (10-20 lamp beads), but the difference is not big (generally 5-10W). In addition, some direct-type modules support dynamic dimming, which can reduce the brightness of some lamp beads when displaying dark scenes. The actual power consumption may be close to that of the side-entry type, or even lower. ​


4. There are local dark spots in the direct-type backlight module. Is the lamp bead broken? ​
It may be a lamp bead failure or other reasons. If the position of the dark spot is fixed and the range is consistent with the coverage area of ​​a single lamp bead, it is likely that the corresponding lamp bead is damaged; if the dark spot is flaky or the edge is blurred, it may be that the optical film (such as the diffusion film) is damaged, the light guide plate is partially contaminated, or the reflective film falls off, resulting in abnormal light reflection. The module needs to be disassembled and checked one by one. ​


5. When assembling a TV, what installation details should be paid attention to for the direct-type backlight module?​
Ensure that the lamp beads are firmly connected to the PCB board to avoid cold soldering (otherwise it may cause flickering or partial non-lighting);​
The optical films need to be placed in order (usually from bottom to top: reflective film, light guide plate, diffusion film, and brightness enhancement film), and the edges of the films should be aligned to avoid wrinkles or offsets (affecting brightness uniformity);​
When installing the frame, apply uniform force to prevent squeezing of the film or lamp beads, and reserve heat dissipation space to avoid long-term high-temperature operation of the module affecting its life.
