Acrylic optical diffuser plate, also known as PMMA diffuser plate, is an ideal optical material for secondary light distribution in LED lighting products.
High Light Transmittance and Uniform Diffusion: Acrylic diffuser plates have the characteristics of high haze, high light transmittance, and high diffusivity. They can effectively convert point or line light sources into soft and uniform surface light sources.
Their light transmittance can reach 60%-90% (adjustable range), and the haze can reach 88%-98% (adjustable range), which can ensure a high level of light output while making the light distribution more uniform, reducing glare and avoiding the appearance of light spots and shadows.
Color Temperature Stability: Acrylic materials have good stability. Under long-term use and normal temperature conditions, they are not easy to yellow, which can ensure that the color temperature of the lamp does not shift

Production Process of Optical Diffuser Plate Acrylic
Raw Material Preparation and Proportioning:
PMMA resin with a purity ≥99.5% is selected as the base material. Dispersing agents (organosilicon, acrylate, etc.) are added at a ratio of 1%-5%. UV stabilizers, masterbatches, and other auxiliary materials are added as needed.
Melt Extrusion Mixing:
The raw materials are fed into a twin-screw extruder and heated in stages at 200℃-240℃ to melt the PMMA. The screw rotates at 200-300 rpm to mix the materials, forming a uniform optical melt. Temperature and speed are strictly controlled to prevent resin decomposition.
Die Forming and Calendering:
The melt is extruded into a blank through a die with an accuracy of 0.01mm, and then fed into a three-roll calender (roller temperature 60℃-80℃) to achieve the specified thickness (error ≤0.1mm) and ensure a smooth surface. For microstructures (prism patterns, etc.)
Cooling and Shaping:
After calendering, the sheet is rapidly cooled by air or water cooling (water temperature 20℃-30℃) to room temperature within 2-3 minutes. The cooling rate is controlled to prevent internal stress or excessively low efficiency.
Cutting and Edge Treatment:
A CNC cutting machine cuts the sheet to the specified dimensions (accuracy ±0.5mm). An edge grinding machine removes burrs and polishes the edges to ensure safe use and assembly accuracy.
Quality Inspection and Packaging:
Light transmittance, light uniformity , surface defects , and dimensional errors (dimensions) are inspected. Qualified products are coated with a scratch-resistant film, packed in boxes for moisture and impact protection before shipment.
